Saudi born, and LA based artist, Basma Alromaih is a self-taught illustrator and photographer. In her art, Basma has always sought to make sense of her emotions, thoughts, and experiences when words often fail us.
Using the fictional characters she’s created, she hopes to push boundaries and break taboos around women’s sexuality and shame, gender expectations, societal constructs, and mental illness.
